Subject: Two-Hour Delay Tomorrow – Super Bowl Bound & DIGG’in Out! 🏈❄️

This is Superintendent Ray calling with an important post-game message.

What a weekend! Our New England Patriots are SUPER BOWL BOUND, and just like our team battled through brutal conditions in Denver, our staff and plow crews have been grinding through the trenches right here at home!

Due to this weekend's blizzard, all schools in Biddeford, Saco, and Dayton will operate on a TWO-HOUR DELAY tomorrow, January 27th, 2026.

The blizzard has ended, but our crews have been DOING THEIR JOB all night and all day and need to call a timeout—or in this case, we're taking the DELAY OF GAME penalty. I know some of you might want to throw the red flag and challenge this call, but understand the conditions our teams have been facing. They've been DIGGing through every drift, HUNTing down every pile, and working with the KRAFT and determination that would make our community proud. Coach VRABEL would be impressed—our crews have been MAYE-king it happen all weekend!

Blowing snow, drifting, and equipment challenges meant we weren't out of the WOODSON yet, but like RHAMONDRE STEVENSON powering through the line, our staff never quit. Our public works crews—our SPECIAL TEAMS—will be out early in the AM clearing bus stops and opening lanes like the O-LINE. The extra two hours will let everyone punch it in and keep our kids safe.

Please monitor conditions and drive safely. We'll update you if anything changes.

Tough conditions build champions—on the field AND in our community.

WE'RE ON TO SEATTLE and a two hour delay!

It's GAME TIME, Biddeford, Saco, and Dayton families!

Mother Nature is calling an audible, and she's bringing a BIG one our way. With a major winter storm bearing down on us, all schools will be CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, January 26th.

Now, some of you may remember a certain Super Bowl Sunday a few years back when I called a snow day and the Patriots went on to win in GRAND fashion. Coincidence? I think not.

Well, folks, here we are again. A snowstorm. An AFC Championship. And YOUR New England Patriots fighting for a trip to the Super Bowl.

So tonight, we have ONE job: bundle up, stay safe, and LET'S GO PATRIOTS! 🏈

Enjoy the game, enjoy the snow day, and we'll see everyone back when the roads are clear and (hopefully) we're all celebrating a big W!

Stay warm and GO PATS!

Join us this Friday and Saturday night (November 7 & 8 at 7pm) at the BHS Drama Club's production of Antigone by David Rush — a modern adaptation of Sophocles’ classic tragedy! In Antigone, a young woman defies the king’s decree to honor her brother with a proper burial, sparking a powerful examination of duty, justice, and the consequences of standing up for one’s beliefs. Held in the BHS Little Theater with donations accepted at the door.

BHS and BRCOT had an evacuation this morning due to a smoke alarm going off in the Center of Technology's Culinary Kitchen. The building was immediately evacuated while the Fire Department assessed the building’s safety. Within 15 minutes, an “all clear” was received by the Fire Department, and students returned to their classes.

It's Marching Band Season! We are asking parents and staff to please avoid parking in the Biddeford Middle School (BMS) parking lot near the storage garage during the following times: Tuesdays and Thursdays (5-8 PM) & Saturdays (8 AM - 1 PM). During these times, the Biddeford High School Marching Band uses this section of the lot as a practice field. The additional blue lines on the pavement indicate the boundaries of the rehearsal area. To ensure the safety of students and allow their practice to run smoothly, we ask that vehicles not be parked within this marked space during the scheduled practice times.
