At approximately 8:15 AM this morning a small fire started in a Biddeford Intermediate School classroom. The cause is under investigation by the Fire Department, and is believed to be related to the building's mechanical controls. School personnel acted quickly to extinguish the fire and sound the alarm. The Biddeford Police and Fire Departments responded quickly. Upon further inspection, the Fire Department declared the building safe at 8:52 AM. We thank our emergency services and school staff for their professionalism and quick response.

Reminder that January 27th is Fun Friday at BIS. Decades day is always a fun challenge!
We are hoping to decrease the number of students arriving late to school at BIS. While we know mornings can be difficult for many students and families, we are finding an increasing number of students arriving after morning announcements. We will be monitoring for improvements and recognizing students and families who have joined our efforts to get to school on time!
