John Dowaliby graduated from Bridgewater State University with a BS degree in Mathematics. He has been a teacher for over ten years in various places and at various levels. He started off his career in Massachusetts and then made his way to the southwest, Santa Fe, NM, where he taught high school as well as at the local community college. On returning to the northeast, he worked for a company writing textbook material for Pearson. With his love for film and some good fortune, John was pulled back to the south, out to Austin, TX, for the production of a movie he’d written, and to work in the film industry while continuing to teach. He has come to southern Maine to be closer to family, closer to the New England nature around which he grew up, and has happily landed at BRCOT with a handful of experiences he hopes to pass on to students.
